Hydrobiological Station of Rhodes

The Reale Istituto di Ricerche Biologiche di Rodi (Royal Biological Research Institute of Rhodes) was founded in the years 1934-1935, during the Italian occupation of the Dodecanese Islands (1912-1943).

The Station came into existence during the Italian occupation of Rhodes, and its Art-Deco-inspired exterior and interior have been preserved as a historic landmark.
